Apply to attend the WARP SUMMIT AFRICA, Pretoria

The International Peace Youth Group (IPYG) cordially invites Yuvans to participate in the WARP Summit for AFRICA which will be hosted on 30 and 31 March 2015.

IPYG is working together with their Patron, Honourable Minister Gigaba, as well as the African Youth Union (AYU), Inter-Faith Action for Peace in Africa (IFAPA), the National Interfaith Council of South Africa (NICSA), Heavenly Culture World Peace Restoration of Light (HWPL) and the International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG).

Venue: OR Tambo Building (TBC), Pretoria, Gauteng

Confirmation of Attendance:

In order to confirm your attendance please:

  1. Complete the registration form below (find the registration form attached, kindly fill it out and send it back to us);
  2. Send a personal letter or a letter from your organisation on a letterhead indicating your participation;
  3. Send us a copy of your ID/passport;
  4. Send us a copy of your profile.

Cost:

Please note that there is no administrative fee to participate in the summit.

All meals at the Summit as well as transport from the airport to your accommodation and extra necessary transport to and from the Summit venue will be provided by IPYG.

Please note that other travel expenses (i.e. airfare, bus-fare, train-fare etc.) as well as your accommodation must be covered by yourself or your organisation.

Program:

Day 1 (30 March): Main sessions

  • Opening Ceremony
  • Session 1: Youth – A culture of peace amidst xenophobia, racism, and violent protesting
  • Session 2: Religious leaders – “Peace This Together”
  • Session 3: Governance – The African Renaissance: Wake the Nations Today
  • Session 4: Signing ceremony

Day 2 (31 March): 6 plenary sessions

  • Opening
  • Plenary 1: Youth – The responsibility a young leader in the African Renaissance has towards developing a new culture of peace
  • Plenary 2: Women Leaders – Women: African agents of Change
  • Plenary 3: Ambassadors – World Ambassadors to South Africa Peace Dialogue
  • Plenary 4: Interfaith – Sustainable interfaith harmony in the African context
  • Plenary 5: Traditional Leaders – The role of traditional leadership in redefining the African Renaissance
  • Plenary 6: Youth – Youth, Sport, Culture and Peace
  • Closing Ceremony

Date of arrival in Gauteng:

We recommend that all guests arrive in Johannesburg on Sunday, 29 March between 08h00 – 16h00.

Guests requiring assistance with transport from the accommodation to the airport should leave on the night of 31 March.

Please note that the following countries do not require any visa in order to enter into South Africa: Mauritius, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho, Mozambique, Swaziland, Botswana, Seychelles, Tanzania, Malawi, Angola, DRC.
