Donate Your Used Clothes to Needy Families

No act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted.

Today, more than ever, you can help communities in need by donating clothes and other gently used household items to local charities. Your clothing donations make a big difference to individuals who are struggling to make ends meet. Clothing donations can provide an individual with the clothes — and the confidence — he needs to succeed in his next job interview. Donating clothing can enable a child to prosper at school among her peers. Clothes donations can keep a family warm at night when the temperatures drop. By making a clothing donation to YUVA, you are helping to make a difference in your community!

  1. Hello from Abu Dhabi dear YUVANS,

I would like to inform you all that we are planning, my husband, my son and I, to come to Mauritius for one week as from tomorrow. I would be interested into donating some clothes for the poor people as well.

There are a lot of old clothes that I have selected at home and kept apart for donating. Here we have the Red Crescent of Abu Dhabi which collects old clothes for the Syrian refugees, but I chose instead helping YUVA by donating those clothes for the Mauritian people living in poverty, since I would prefer give priority to my native country first.

The bad news though is that we are travelling by Emirates, and as per their updated policy, they allow only one suitcase of maximum 20 kgs per passenger and we already planned our luggage for the family 🙁

The only alternative that I found would be that, in case anyone is planning to travel to Abu Dhabi or Dubai after the 7th January 2018, that we could meet somewhere, preferably in Abu Dhabi where I reside, so that I could donate the clothes to you. I am really sorry for all inconvenience regarding the transport facilities by our side and the luggage limit but in case I find another better alternative for donating the clothes I will keep you updated.

Thank you so much and I wish you all a very happy and prosperous New Year 2018.
