Parti Malin’s One-Man Show: A Political Entertainment, Diversion, or the Making of a Sweet Forbidden Fruit?

Look at most well-known politicians and you’re bound to see some kind of reason behind their entry into politics. They were passionate about bringing change, they felt they could correct the injustice facing their fellow countrymen or they felt they could make a difference.

The YUVA Academy has successfully launched its Moral and Civic Education programme at the Jean Marie Frank Richard State Secondary School, La Tour Koenig on Tuesday, 13 August 2019. During this first session, Mr Kris Padayachy, the trainer, and the YUVA team welcomed 38 determined and dynamic students.

The session opened with an introduction of the students before getting to the first topic of the day, which was ‘Respect’. Mr Padayachy talked about the respect of the self and the respect of others. During this part of the session, the students were a little shy to participate, so Mr Padayachy had a little chat with them to make them feel at ease. They were asked about where they live and at what time they reach school in the morning. After that, the students felt more comfortable to speak out during the rest of the session.

But I must say that the daily use of household appliances and other devices has made our task a little easier. At home, electronic devices are a part of our everyday life. It is one of the factors that led me to develop a special interest in robotics.
