Today YUVA announced the launch of its artificial intelligence powered chatbot YUVAMauritius for its volunteers, members and various stakeholders across Mauritius and worldwide, on the chatbot platform Qarma.

YUVAMauritius chatbot works on Facebook Messenger and can be discovered by searching @yuvamauritius on Facebook Messenger on the web and Android/iPhone mobiles.

YUVA President Krishna Athal said, “YUVA aims to professionalise social work through latest technology tools in the social empowerment space for all internal and external stakeholders. We have selected Qarma chatbot platform, which is developed by the Mumbai-based (India) startup, Quickwork Technologies, to make our various social programs and operations more effective by leveraging the power of real-time data capture via mobile messaging, natural language processing and artificial intelligence offered by Qarma.”

“We wish to not only encourage the youth of Mauritius but also invite all citizens of Mauritius to start using latest digital tools, which will help them to get answers to their questions quickly and enable them to provide suggestions and feedback in real-time, all through simple chat with the YUVAMauritius chatbot,” he added.

When asked about future plans for YUVAMauritius chatbot, Krishna Athal said, “ As a first step, we will use YUVAMauritius chatbot to make our volunteers performance driven and more productive. Eventually, we plan to make YUVAMauritius chatbot autonomous to help our teams focus on high-value work. Further, in this age of extended supply chains, will plan to share all know-how and technology we have access to, with our donors, beneficiaries and other agencies worldwide to further deepen our relationships and make our social empowerment programs successful.”
