YUVA focuses on helping children and young people become healthy, educated, empowered and employed. These outcomes reinforce one another and together create stronger foundations for long-term independence.
Because opportunity is interconnected.
Health, education, empowerment and employment do not exist in isolation. A young person who is healthy is better positioned to learn. Education creates knowledge and skills. Empowerment helps turn those capabilities into confidence and decisions. Employment can then create greater independence and economic security.
This is why YUVA looks beyond individual interventions. Our aim is to support children and young people across different stages of their development so that progress in one area can strengthen progress in another.

Health
YUVA’s health work supports children, young people and communities through health education, awareness, nutrition, hygiene and connections to services. Our approach is grounded in helping people access reliable information and develop healthier habits.
Education
Our education initiatives help reduce barriers that can prevent children from remaining in school or reaching their potential. Support may include school fees, uniforms, learning materials, tutoring, scholarships and mentorship, depending on individual needs.
Empowerment
Empowerment means helping young people recognise their own capabilities and participate meaningfully in decisions affecting their lives. YUVA supports leadership, teamwork, confidence, entrepreneurship, civic awareness and practical skills through programmes and YUVA Academy.
Employment
YUVA helps young people prepare for the world of work through employability support such as interview practice, CV preparation, career guidance and connections to opportunities. The goal is not simply getting a job, but strengthening the ability to navigate work and build greater independence.
