YUVA promotes youth activism, which results in an extraordinary potential to transform communities, and it carries important benefits to those who participate—especially for the low-income youth, youth of colour, and other young people who have been historically marginalised from civic life.

Everything we do has just one goal: the sustained well-being of children and young people, especially the most vulnerable. We work with families, communities, and partners to ensure that children and young people enjoy good health, are educated for life, experience the love of parents and their surroundings, and are cared for, protected, and participating. More importantly, we serve all children and young people — regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender.

YUVA is focused on making a long-term impact by helping children and young people living in poverty or who do not have access to basic necessities.

We have a bold vision: ensuring Quality Education, Good Health, Empowerment, and Employment for young people through our programmes so we can break the cycle of poverty and ensure a bright future for the children and young people of Mauritius and India. Period.
