On 14 February 2025, YUVA India, in collaboration with Auxilium Skill Academy, took a meaningful step towards child safety by conducting an awareness session on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Held at the Auxilium School Campus, Mazzarello Youth Centre, Balaram Babu Marg, Wadala (W), Mumbai, the session was attended by 20 children and two staff members. Leading this impactful session were Ms Vanita Salunke and Mr Vijay Powar from YUVA India, who dedicated their time and expertise to educating young minds on this crucial subject.

The POCSO Act, enacted in 2012, stands as a vital legal framework designed to safeguard children under 18 from sexual offences. • Confidentiality and Child-Friendly Procedures: A key focus was on the protection of victims’ identities and ensuring that they receive support in a safe and dignified manner.
