Hello! I’m Navish Redini, 16 years old, a student at GMD Atchia State College, and I live in Tranquebar. This year, I have the incredible honour of representing Team Mauritius at the FIRST Global Challenge 2025, which will take place in Panama City. It’s a dream come true—and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet brilliant minds from across the world, exchange ideas, and push the boundaries of what we can achieve through robotics and teamwork.

My fascination with robotics began at the age of 10, when my aunt gifted me a toy car. I still remember the thrill of watching it move and imagining how such machines could be built and controlled. That single moment lit a fire in me. Since then, I’ve been captivated by the idea of creating intelligent machines and exploring their limitless potential.

What excites me most about FGC is not only the technical challenge but also the purpose behind it. This year’s theme, Eco-Equilibrium, is incredibly meaningful—it highlights the urgent need for sustainability in a world facing forest fires, climate change, and environmental degradation. I truly admire how this competition combines technology with environmental responsibility. It’s more than just building robots—it’s about building solutions.

My goal in this challenge is clear: Victory. I want to help lead Team Mauritius to new heights, to show the world the strength of our ideas and the warmth of our culture. But even more than that, I want to win hearts—with our teamwork, our creativity, and our spirit of hospitality.

This year’s team feels different. We have a strong mindset, powerful chemistry, and a shared determination to succeed. I believe in our ability to make an impact—on the competition and on each other. Together, we will represent Mauritius with pride, unity, and heart.

Thank you—and see you in Panama!
