Hello! I’m Shreya Ramlowat, 17 years old, a proud student of MGSS Solferino, and I live in Vacoas. This year marks my very first time participating in the FIRST Global Challenge (FGC), and I couldn’t be more excited to represent Team Mauritius 2025 on this incredible international stage.
I first learned about FGC in 2024, and from that moment, I was eager to learn more and be part of this amazing opportunity. Now that I’m on the team, I’ve already made unforgettable memories and formed meaningful friendships. My teammates have been incredibly supportive, helping me understand the mechanics of robotics and how to bring ideas to life through collaboration and passion.
Since childhood, I’ve always loved building and dismantling things. One of my favorite pastimes at around 10 years old was taking apart my dad’s old computer just to see what was inside. That curiosity never left me—and now, it’s what drives me to explore the world of robotics with even greater purpose.
This year’s theme, Eco-Equilibrium, is especially meaningful to me. It’s about finding a balance with nature—a message that feels urgent and necessary in today’s world. Last year’s theme, Feeding the Future, was impactful, but this year’s focus goes even deeper, making us reflect on how all parts of the environment are interconnected. It has made me more aware of our responsibility as young innovators.
My intention for FGC 2025 is to learn, grow, and give my best. I want to contribute fully to our robot’s design and function, while also growing as a person and a teammate. With hard work, strong communication, and a little creativity, I believe we can accomplish something incredible. Winning would be a dream—but more than anything, I want our team to feel proud of what we’ve achieved together and to represent Mauritius with pride, heart, and unity.
This is more than just a competition—it’s a journey. And I’m ready to give it everything I’ve got.
