Hello! I’m Muhammad Ali Hashmi Mulloo, 16 years old, living in Plaine Verte, and a student at Labourdonnais College. I’m proud to be representing Team Mauritius at the FIRST Global Challenge 2025, taking place in Panama City. For me, this isn’t just a robotics competition—it’s the realisation of a lifelong dream.

From a very young age, I was fascinated by the idea of machines that could move, think, and even solve problems. My curiosity for robotics started in childhood and has only grown stronger over the years. Discovering FGC felt like a turning point—it gave me a real opportunity to bring my passion to life.

This year’s challenge is unlike any before. The theme, Eco-Equilibrium, is incredibly important in today’s world. It’s about creating balance between technology and nature—something that resonates deeply with me. I’ve always admired how robotics can be used not just for convenience, but to solve real problems and build a better, more sustainable world. It’s powerful to think that the work we do as students could help shape the future.

My goal for FGC 2025 is to contribute fully to my team—to innovate, to collaborate, and to inspire. I want to help bring Mauritius into the top 10 and proudly showcase our country on the global stage. But it’s not only about winning—it’s about learning, connecting with other passionate youth, and enjoying every step of the journey. The friendships I’ve made through this competition already mean so much to me.

This experience is teaching me more than just robotics—it’s teaching me leadership, teamwork, and the importance of resilience. I’m excited to keep learning, building, and dreaming even bigger. Robotics is my passion, and FGC is the start of something much greater.

Thank you, and see you in Panama!
