National Education Policy 2020: A Roadmap for Indian Educational System

The National Education Policy 2020 is a landmark decision to transform the educational system of India. After three decades, this legislation overhauls the existing education structure and introduces comprehensive changes.

NEP seeks to promote equity, inclusivity, quality, sustainability and internationalisation of the Indian education system. It emphasises bringing access for all students regardless of their socioeconomic status or geographically challenged locations.

The Best Approach to Child Attachment During COVID-19 Lockdown for 6 Countries

The COVID-19 global crisis forced the world to be in a complete lockdown, including schools’ closures and work to stop the spread of the disease. Parents staying at home with their children may negatively and positively impact the child’s psychological well-being.

Many countries reported a fall in child attachment, while other countries showed that the lockdown increased child attachment. This article highlights six different countries with child’s attachment during the lockdown.

Scholarship: Ashinaga Africa Initiative Registration 2020

The Ashinaga Africa Initiative is a fully funded academic leadership programme that aims to provide high potential orphaned students from across Sub Saharan Africa with access to higher education in Japan, the U.S.A. and Europe.

Our vision is that after graduating from university abroad, our scholars will return to Mauritius to become leaders and empower others.

YUVA conducts Positive Parenting Programme at Goodlands Village Hall

YUVA, in close collaboration with the SIDUS Learning & Development Institution and the Centre for Counselling & Mindfulness, has successfully completed the first cohort of Positive Parenting Programme with 20 parents at the Goodlands Village Hall on Saturday, 10 August 2019.

This 12-hour short course aimed to equip parents with the necessary skills and tactics to be self-sufficient and to be able to cope with family issues more wisely. The final outcome of this course was quite satisfying. The parents have shown great improvements in their behaviours and perceptions.

YUVA Academy launches Certificate in Positive Parenting Programme

The YUVA Academy, in close collaboration with the Sidus Learning & Development Institution and the Centre for Counselling & Mindfulness, has come up with a new empowerment programme – the Certificate in Positive Parenting Programme. This 12-hour short course reiterates the fundamentals of a strong and secure family support system that aims to equip parents with the skills and confidence they need to be self-sufficient and to be able to manage family issues.

The Certificate in Positive Parenting Programme covers a broad range of topics, including what parenting skills are, the dynamics of discipline, teaching values to our children, small and daily habits that will make the difference and more. It is ideal for all parents, but can also be a very useful tool for caretakers, grandparents, teachers, and anyone who spends a lot of time helping to shape the minds of the next generation. The programme provides an overview of all the parenting skills that are necessary to raise a healthy and well-adjusted adult. It will also help participants to learn where and why some challenges may arise and how to best go about overcoming them.
