This free, women-only workshop is designed to empower micro-entrepreneurs in Mauritius to refine their business models, enhance financial management capabilities, and adopt digital tools to scale and sustain their enterprises in a dynamic and competitive market.

In Mauritius, micro-enterprises form the backbone of the local economy, driving job creation, innovation, and community resilience. However, micro-entrepreneurs often face challenges in formalising operations, accessing finance, and navigating the evolving digital economy.

This interactive, solution-focused workshop seeks to bridge these gaps by offering targeted training in strategic business planning, financial literacy, and digital transformation—ensuring micro-entrepreneurs are equipped to thrive, adapt, and grow in today’s fast-changing business environment.

Through a series of hands-on sessions, real-world case studies, and expert-led discussions, participants will not only acquire vital knowledge and skills but also develop practical strategies and action plans to strengthen their businesses and drive sustainable growth.

This initiative is entirely free of charge and forms part of a broader commitment to promoting inclusive entrepreneurship, financial resilience, and digital inclusion among Mauritius’ micro-entrepreneurship community.

Target Group:

This workshop is tailored for 60 women micro-entrepreneurs from across Mauritius, operating in diverse sectors such as retail, services, manufacturing, agriculture, crafts, and technology. The participants may include owners of micro-enterprises, start-up founders, and informal business operators seeking formalisation and growth pathways.

  • The workshop will be delivered in a highly interactive and applied half-day format, maximising engagement and hands-on learning.

Trainers and Facilitators:

The sessions will be led by a team of seasoned experts:

  • Dr Krishna Athal, a leadership and entrepreneurship expert, will focus on mindset transformation, leadership, and strategic thinking for micro-enterprises.
  • Mr Joyvani Frédérick Rose, a business innovation and financial literacy specialist, will guide participants through advanced financial management and sustainable business modeling.
  • Mr Luckkanna Ghaneswarsingh, an expert in digital transformation, will provide practical insights into leveraging digital tools for business expansion, customer engagement, and operational efficiency.
